Where to Find It

Go to Widgets, then open the Free Gift card (or Manage widget settings in a gift campaign).

What You Can Configure

Display

Setting What It Does
Display widget on store Master on/off switch
Display mode Progress bar (persistent), Toast notification (pop-up at unlock, with undo), or Silent (no announcement)

Text customization

Field Purpose
Progress text Use {amount} and {gift}, for example "{amount} more to unlock {gift}"
Unlocked text Shown once the gift is unlocked. Use {gift}

Colors

Bar background, Bar fill color, Text color, Button background, Button text color.

The preview shows each display mode, including the undo button for the toast. In Silent mode the preview states that nothing shows on the page.

Step-by-Step: Configure the Widget

  1. Go to Widgets → Free Gift.
  2. Toggle Display widget on store ON.
  3. Choose the Display mode.
  4. Edit the progress and unlocked texts, keeping the placeholders.
  5. Set the colors and click Save.

Step-by-Step: Verify It Works

  1. Confirm you have an active Free Gift campaign.
  2. In an Incognito tab, add products below the threshold and check the bar text and fill.
  3. Cross the threshold and confirm the gift is added at $0 with your unlocked text (or toast).
  4. Drop back below the threshold and confirm the gift is removed.

Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Requires an active Free Gift campaign. The widget shows and maintains the gift, the campaign defines thresholds and gifts.
  • Pick one bar. If your theme already has a free-shipping bar, use Toast so two bars don't stack.
  • Keep {amount} and {gift} exactly as written.
  • The display mode can also be set per campaign in the campaign's Storefront display card.

Mini FAQ

Why did the gift disappear?

The cart dropped below the threshold (measured after discounts), the gift went out of stock, or the customer isn't eligible.

Does the gift show in my cart total?

Yes, as a $0.00 line labelled as a free gift.
