MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT
If your store publishes more than one language in Shopify (Settings -> Languages), a Language dropdown appears above the Badge text field.
- Hidden when your store only publishes one language.
- Untranslated badge text falls back to your default language's text on the storefront.
- A dot next to a language name flags it as missing a translation for the badge text.
STEP-BY-STEP: CONFIGURE THE WIDGET
1. Go to Widgets -> Sales badge.
2. Toggle "Display widget on store" ON.
3. Set the Badge text (and translations, if applicable).
4. Choose the Badge type and Badge position under Appearance.
5. Toggle Show border if you want one.
6. Set the Background color and Text color.
7. Check the preview, then click Save.
Some campaign types let you override the badge text and color per campaign on higher plans, that override takes priority over this global default for that specific campaign.
STEP-BY-STEP: VERIFY IT WORKS
1. In an Incognito tab, open a product page for a product covered by an active discount campaign.
2. Confirm the badge appears on the product image, in the shape, position, and colors you configured.
3. Open a product with no active discount and confirm the badge doesn't appear.
TIPS & COMMON MISTAKES
- Requires the app embed to be active, same as every other Discount Prime widget.
- Editing needs Custom Badge access, locked without can_set_General_Custom_Badge_settings permission.
- Per-campaign overrides beat the global default, if a specific campaign's badge looks different than expected, check whether that campaign has its own badge override set.
